Kathleen Hartye is a lifelong Jersey City resident, where she and her late husband raised five children.
Kathleen was the proprietor of two of the Jersey Shore’s popular spots, Murphy’s Restaurant and the Final Score in Lavallette.
Kathleen is very involved in the Jersey City community. She has been an active member and trustee of the Jersey City St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee for over 20 years and was honored as the Irishwoman of the Year and Hall of Fame. She previously served as a Commissioner & Vice Chairwoman of the Jersey City Municipal Utilities Authority & has returned as a Commissioner. Kathleen also ran for the Ward A Council seat. Although she lost, Kathleen continues to be involved in her community.
